Evidence-Based Psychotherapy
Evidence-based psychotherapy (or "EBT") or evidence-based practice is any therapy that is based upon peer-reviewed scientific evidence. The following is a list of such therapies that we may apply to which types of clinical situations:
EMDR or "Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing" techniques to treat acute trauma.
Mindfulness Meditation for Depression
Calming & Relaxation Techniques for Stress Relief
Mentalization & DBT or "Dialectical Behavioral Therapy" to help with affect regulation. This is primarily useful in the treatment of borderline personalities, anger management, developmental trauma, and complex disorders.
